Just checked into the Stanyan Park hotel, right across from Kezar in the Haight. Waiting for the comp wine & snacks to begin in an hour.

Stacy, Tara, Bri & Leigh broke off and went home while Syl, Raz, my evil twin Dina and I went to the Red room for more drinks. Real authentic Chinatown.
Still stuffed from the China Live feast. Now I’m at a desk near the elevator of Stayin Park hotel, trying to figure out how to creep into our room quietly. I love SF!

Breakfast on Haight St (if your fancy-pants hotel does not provide) might be found at Brioche Cafe (great back patio, decent veggie options if I remember correctly.
FlyWheel Coffee on Stanyan at Haight (next to Whole Foods) is good. Stanza on Haight near Cole is also good.

Thanks for the recs. This fancy hotel provides breakfast.
And Stacy already left on a coffee quest. She had a place in mind. Maybe it was the one you mentioned. She said they open at 6am. I have a meeting so I'll grab breaky & caffeine here, then do my meeting, then maybe grab second breakfast.

I just mapped the Pork Store and it's in the Mission. Is there another one in the Haight? Because I'll be free in a bit.
I've got a late check out here around 11:30, then I'm walking over to meet Stacy at Masala Dosa on 9th for lunch (next door to a yoga class by one of her old instructors). I could swing by for some yeti porking.

One thing Yeti got right - SF is a great city.
We got up and grabbed coffee at the Coffee Movement, which is very close to Tara's place. Then we walked through GGP to the Beach Chalet for breaky (I had the crab cake benedict which was on the salty side but satisfying). Then we walked up past Sutro to the Legion of Honor and caught the Mary Cassett exhibit which was lovely. Then we walked back to Tara's to recharge phones. Then we moved the Beast (Stacy's subi) to GGP near the Haight and walked the Haight. Then we grabbed tacos at Street Taco (I had the pescado which was yum). Then we went to Booksmith & Amoeba. Then we went to Little Shamrock and had Irish coffees (with Powers). I had an additional hot toddy (also Powers). Then we went to Green Apple. Then we had dinner at Fiorella. What a grand day. I even got to try out my new xmas raincoat. It performed well but the faux fur lined hood obscures my peripheral a bit too much. 10 miles. 31 stories.

I can dig it.
Street Taco is surprisingly good. Clement is a great SF street (food, sundries, booze) Haight is some good classic SF street (the flora, the fauna, original Pork Store, Cha-Cha-Cha). How was the Cassatt exhibit? Sounds like a grand day out!

Cassett was lovely, more crowded than we expected. Didn’t know she was American; always theiight she was French. She was limited by her gender to female portraits, which was a shame because she was so talented. I enjoyed her portraits of children and dogs because they were a tad disproportionate, owing I assume, to their squirminess. I also liked seeing thr influence of Ukiyo-e on her work, so obvious with many impressionists. Stacy liked her ladies at the opera series best. I’d say if you like Impressionism, it’s worth the visit.
Street Taco was astonishingly good - simple fare but there’s nothing like good fresh corn tortillas. I was happy to see Cha Cha Chas was still open. I went there many many years ago after a Rock Med Board meeting and have very fond memories of it. We had a late big breakfast so we just wanted a bite and it was perfect. I hoped to take Stacy to Vegan Burg, where Tara took me a while back but it closed.

How long you up here? Weird that you all are 7 blocks away but I'm riding 45 min south to breakfast with G-Man and not having coffee with y'all

Saves on the butt butter which is getting expensive.
Um, so I’m told. The promised tariffs will raise the price but I’m thinking no way because the govt will need it so much more this term. It’s just that post yeti funk stank. Too musky. Can handle the musk anymore…
