Stacy some dental work today and I came up to drive her home, just in case. We hit major traffic all the way up the 1 and got tailed by a cop from San Gregorio to Montara and came screaming into her appt 5 mins late. Stacy literally jumped out of the car, leaving me and Yuki to fend for ourselves. Her dentist is right by Ft Mason, so I figured I'd walk Yuki about.
But it was hella windy. That made everything unpleasant. We walked up to Marina Green. It was gorgeously clear, but that wind. I couldn't manage holding on to my hat and my dog at the same time. So we retreated to Ft Mason and tried to find less windy spots between buildings. I showed Yuki the Firehouse where our wedding reception was held but it was all fenced off and he couldn't quite see it. We spent most of our time on the Great Meadow. A small soundsystem was set up - a 4/20 thing - and they played mediocre club EDM, but the wind turned their sound to mush at 50 paces away. It was like listening to the stereo in another car that had its windows rolled up and was two lanes over. They never got more than a dozen people there. But they smoked a lot of pot - I could smell that at 100+ paces, even with the wind.
Lombard was a mess due to construction so getting back out was a hassle.
I've really lost a lot of my driving skills.
