Unlike Herr Professor-Doktor Krankypants, I enjoyed Kings of the Wyld. They were hunting down things that were killing humans, but the exploitation of the creatures in the Arena was pretty pointed, and I though that their wyld cousins were included in that as their anger towards humans was exploited. Also, mercenary bands being treated like rock bands was amusing. For a first novel, it was pretty entertaining.
In the Tudor Period, Fencing Masters were classified in the Vagrancy Laws along with Actors, Gypsys, Vagabonds, Sturdy Rogues, and the owners of performing bears.
