It just seemed to be endless collection of set pieces without anything tying them together. Did I mention I almost fell asleep?
The pirate sea creatures were cool. It was great fun watching the barnacles grow on their faces or watch them becom whatever it was they were becoming. Neat idea, but why? The skeletons were much more fun and logical.
[Spoilers] And that whole frickin Key and box and heart rigamarole and Jack Sparrow's soul. Yawn. You spend three hundred million on a film, you should at least get a good story. Couldn't they have tied the Evil of the East India Company in more? Couldn't there have been more chases. Tension? Drama?
