I confess that I'm not in the loop when it comes to Jean-Luc Godard. I know the name and the reputation, but I don't know any of his films, or at least, I've forgotten them. I used to reject French film. I still do a little. Since news of his passing came yesterday, I watched this.
In all fairness, I haven't finished it completely. I fell asleep somewhere in the middle. Not sure where. Wasn't due to the film. It was the Rx hitting after a long day. Maybe I'll finish it later. But I got the idea.
I can imagine how revolutionary in its day. Godard moves his camera brilliantly, especially considering this was long before th steadycam. His framing is stark. His storytelling must have been bold in 1960.
I should really finish this. It's considered one of the greatest films ever on many prestigious lists. I was enjoying it but sometimes that nortrip hits me like a hammer.
