Hadn't seen it in a zillion years and needed something to do while the glynch went up North to hang plates, so I rented the 2nd season from Netflix (1st season not available for some reason). It's a lot slower than I remembered, but gotta confess, I really enjoyed revisiting it, and either I missed a few episodes or just have completely forgotten them.

Wow! I caught the edge of one of the episodes during the Queen's lunch break. Was the Kung Fu supposed to be that bad?

That particular episode (The Salamander) was particularly bad.

I love the show but can't bring myself to buy the season one DVD. Apparently they not only released the syndicated version with a few minutes cut out of each episode (to allow for more commercials) but they cropped the frame to make it wide-screen.
The second and third season are available in the proper 4/3 screen size, but are only available in the 'complete' box set.

that's what made the series really challenging. great writing, crappy kung fu. it's usually the other way around.

I'm supposed to watch all the TV shows from that era so I can see how much superior the writing was on Kung Fu?

Talk to the Queen. While she was pining for you in your Tux, I mean me, she wanted to reexperience some old Kung Fu memories. As usual, I caught one of the low ebb moments.

used to be dm in a tux was maybe a third of the glynch. now it's less than half. somehow dm-in-tux/glynch-lite does not equal the caine minstrel show, but we're talking tq here, and she's crazy enough to live with the glynch, so there you have it.
who's your pom daddy?

And the battle starts! Shouldn't you be doing some writing or Assistant Publishing?
