Today was a mandatory birthday day off from YMAA. We went to Mercey hot springs - first time there. It was quiet. Only 3 other people were in the clothing optional tub area and not at the same time. For a bit we had it all to ourselves. It was nice, quiet, cows and birds were all we heard, except for a lawnmower for a bit. We soaked for like 4 hours with a break for lunch that we brought. The water was pleasant but could’ve been much hotter.
On the way back, we took a back road where we had no internet connection so no map. 18 miles of windy hope-we’re-going-the-right-way roads. We stopped for directions at a tiny bodega and that’s when the fed came through…

Spelchuk changed text. It was the text from Stacy’s half brother about their dad passing. We thought it was a better alternative to Pacheco pass. It wasn’t.
I’ve got two meetings today then over to svale to prep for the window installation and sort the fire alarms because we’ll be inspected right afterwards (windows scheduled for Thurs-Fri).

I must take my mom to her new doctor - an appointment we scheduled back in January because her old doctor fell out of her coverage. Then back to the Cruz to clean up a lot of messes both with YMAA & KFM. Then yoga tonight.

Well fuck. I was getting text reminders up until an hour before the appointment. We roll up and find the office closed and abandoned with a note on the door that had a QR code for other facilities. What the actual fuck? I messaged back but there was no phone number on the new app for this doc. There was another couple there who were experiencing the same situation. They had an appointment just before ours.
And now, they seem to be ghosting me.

One out of three meetings down. Today is a catch up day - laundry, groceries, work. Stacy is at svale supervising the window replacement. That's supposed to be done in two days. I also must follow up on my mom's medical. The overseeing company has ghosted me. WTAF?!?

Caught up on some KFM work just now after iai practice - proofreading whilst enjoying some Teelings Pot Still that Stacy gave me for my birthday.
Today I have a manageable workload, mostly YMAA stuffs, brunch with my iaido sensei who’s treating me as a belated birthday thing I think, then tonight the Quarry is comping me and Stacy in for Lila Downs, although the house manager hasn’t been clear on how that will work.

Kung Fu done. I had an ok workout to start, but I gassed out at the end and totally failed with my Tai Chi.
Now it's tax time. I didn't get far last week.
