According to Irish Myth you are supposed to leave your clothes inside out for the day or you will spoil your luck.

We had Northern Lights visible to our cameras at the Lair.

Is this some sort of Leprechaun thing? Never heard that before.

Been seeing pix on my socials from all over the state, especially my Nor Cal friends.

Just got word that my main freelance outlet, Den of Geek, is not accepting freelance submissions anymore. They are pivoting for the rest of the year to using a few writers on a retainer basis. They changed ownership after SDCC.

It was a good run. I need to reach out to some other similar pop culture outlets.

Aren't u my biggest subscriber?

Or is that another 'that guy'? I've been thinking it's Greg catfishing me.

This storm is intense. It's fukkin up my weekend. I have a friend in from NYC and we were planning to do Grateful Sunday, but that's an outdoor venue so it's probably getting cancelled. And a quarter of Moe's is outdoors too. I was planning to hit the JA benefit there on Saturday.

I'm grateful that the storm is supposed to break on next Tuesday because that's a big task day for me.

SAN FRANCISCO ([url=https://www.kron4.com/]KRON) — Recently returned Bay Area alternative rock station Live 105 has abruptly canceled this year’s “Not So Silent Night” holiday concert. The station’s signature holiday event was first held back in 1991, and this year’s was to be the first since the station relaunched as Live 105 in June of 2023.
On Wednesday, however, Live 105 announced in a Facebook post the concert had been canceled.
“We’re sorry to share that the Not So Silent Night concert has been cancelled this year,” the post read. “We know this is disappointing news, and we truly regret that we won’t be able to bring the show to you this year.”
This year’s “Not So Silent Night” was set to be headlined by Sublime with Evanescence, Yellowcard, Wet Let and The Paradox also on the bill. Longstanding Live 105 DJ Aaron Axelson was set to open the show.

More information, including refund details, is available on the Live 105 website.
The radio station, which is owned by Audacy, gave no reason for the concert’s abrupt cancellation. “Not So Silent Night” was due to take place on Dec. 14 at the SAP Center in San Jose.

Not that I was planning on going. Although I do listen to Live 105 when driving in the South Bay and the ads had me thinking I'd like to see Evanescence some day.

I wasn't intending to go, but I like Wet Leg...they remind me of The Strokes. I saw they had an upcoming date in the area in Dec, but I just checked their website (which is hilarious) and it's not listed, so it was probably that gig.

One of my dojo mates got laid off today. He worked for a dispensary. But that bubble burst and the casualties are plenty. He’s a good guy - worked in a video store for a while so he has an expansive knowledge of cult cinema and is often the only one I can talk to about movies. He’s also tall, like 6’3” maybe, which makes him fun to train with. I hope he finds work again soon.

On Oct 6, just prior to our anniversary, Stacy & Yuki had a hard head bonk. She reached down to pick up his ball as he was leaping up & they collided. There was no LOC and it didn’t seem too bad, but she’s been experiencing some fuzziness and jostled feelings (all outside normal concussion symptoms). It’s been going on for nearly a month and a half now and she has an appt with her provider this week, but she wanted some reassurance that she wasn’t bleeding in the brain or something, se we went from urgent care to the ER where the doc advised us not to do a CAT or MRI because the symptoms are minor and she’s got that upcoming appt for follow up.

Not what I expected this morning at all but I was there for it.

Something went wrong with my mom’s advantage insurance - it only OKed a facility in Orange, CA. The clerks gave me the info that needs to be updated, but we could not do the appt. My mom went into her pre-surgery freak out mode which was very triggering for me. I took her back to the facility and we have to reschedule.
