Was thwarted by Bird Rock coffee - made a special trip and their espresso machine was broken. Walked right by it first time and wound up behind a large family with kids so I bailed.
Got a new charger & cord at the hotel. $50! The drug stores on route were closed. Meh, I can write it off. I can write almost all of this off.
Now in line for hall H. Not nearly as bad as last year. I think I’ll get in for the first panel, whatever that is…

Bad Guys 2 panel was mediocre. Awkwafina was there but she had mostly flat answers.
Star Trek panel was lit. Saw the cast of SNW plus a full episode (the first holodeck experiment). And there’s a puppet ep otw. Khan (an origins podcast was announced). The basic plot of Star Fleet Academy was revealed - it’s a school in SF and a ship. Holly Hunter is the chancellor captain.
Then I headed out to catch the end of Eric Jacobus’ talk which was well attended. But I got horribly lost trying to get there - 2 staff sent me the wrong direction. Connected with Patrick there. He’s depleted after losing his wallet and just trying to make the best of it now.
Grabbed some pizza, looked for Tara gifts - really hoping for something K-PDH but that’s so hot this year That everything sold out. This year is all about Labubu iykyk
Now Im at the mission bar for the den party. More games. The hot gal from Sakamoto days said Hi and it took me a second to put that together.

Dm was summoned to the Hilton bar (the creators hangout) by the hex women. We took over the balcony with a few movers & shakers. The alien exhibit line was huge. No way I could make it.

At SAN. I’ve hated the southwest terminal since Tara got into UCSD. It’s always packed, services suck, there’s even a line to the water bottle refill station. Im at a standing bar with outlets, keeping my phone warm, surfing the web, mostly checking out other people’s sdcc pix. Fellow SDCCers are still identifiable from our banners, but we’re fading into the pedestrians of the default world.
Got about an hour until boarding time…

Panniken coffee cans are $9. It’s good coffee but I opted for a Coke Zero & a tiny $10 tuna fish sammich (i eschew tuna but I went for it anyway).
I love San Diego but the streets reek of piss. Homeless? So many dogs… the streets are relatively clean but the odor is so prevalent. They just don’t get enough rain to wash the streets. They need to power wash more.

Patrick found his wallet. He stayed at a friend's house on Thursnite & Sunnite. He thought it might have fallen down a groove between some furniture when he was reorganizing stuff, and sure enough, it was deep down in that crevice. He already canceled his cards, but at least he has his ID.
