This was Ana de Armas (Ballerina) first Hollywood film. Keanu is an architect married to an artist wife with two sweet kids and a dog. His family leaves for a beach trip on Father’s Day but he must stay home and work and take care of the dog (named Monkey).
At this point I’m thinking ‘This is my story. I am Keanu and Yuki is Monkey’
They live in a gorgeous house filled with his wife’s art and pix of his family. He’s working past midnight when knock knock - two hotties show up at his door. It’s Ana (as a bleached blonde) and Lorenza Izzo They’re drenched and lost (it’s raining) and he offers help. They come in, he offers them hot tea & towels and they ask to use his dryer to dry their clothes. He gets them robes. Then, after some provacatove chat, the robes come off and they have a mad threesome in the shower that echoes Kentucky Fried Movie
At this point, I’m thinking ‘This is not my story. If only…’
Turns out the hotties are psycho and the rest of the movie is about how they destroy Keanu and his lovely home. It’s a cautionary tale. As if pair of hotties ever show up on any man’s doorstep like that.Keanu’s downward spiral is brutal as they systematically destroy everything he has and is.
Ana is hot. She bares it all, and reportedly spoke no English at this time, learning her lines phonetically. She does hot psycho well with a charming smile and big beautiful eyes. Here she plays an ambiguous age - is she a minor or not? The threat of statutory keeps Keanu in check . She has won me over as Eve in Ballerina. I should revisit her Bond girl role.
The very last line by the son when Keanu’s family comes home and sees the destruction is the payout. Very funny in context.
Not particularly D00M recommended.
