I'm more broken than you
Perhaps I'll reconsider. I'm now skeptical that your three little holes will have enough entertainment value.

My doctor is a lying liar who lies. I'm not great at math but that looks like more than three little incisions.

It was another bad night. The pain gets bad when I'm on my side because the weight of my arm pulls on the shoulder. I opted to seep sitting up on the couch but that was the best of a bunch of poor solutions.

One of the Queen's best friend's husband had a similar surgery. When I heard he could only sleep sitting up, I scoffed. I stand corrected. Not that I slept all that much.

I stand corrected too. That was entertaining.

Ouch. That looks super harsh.

If you connect the dots, you might get the face of jesus.

Who needs sleep? Another night sitting on the couch, counting the minutes until I can take my next pain med. For some reason, the run-up to the 2am dose is particularly harsh. I get bits of naps but nothing more than a half hour. This is so much fun.

Did I mention opioid nausea?

This is beginning to remind me of when LB got his vasectomy. He whined and whined for weeks about how painful it was. Not that you’re not suffering there Greg. I’ve been on a neural mad since my long Covid shoulder issue so I have some empathy on how painful shoulders can get.

One of my KF cousins - big John, the Viking surfer dude TCEC Dragon Crew dude, just got a stem cell procedure done on his shoulder. He had a torn ligament and his first doc suggested surgery akin to what you got but another said the stem cell treatment would be better. He said it wasn’t that painful.

I apologize for my pain not being diverting enough. I'll do better in the future.

Actually I’m morbidly fascinated by your progress or lack thereof. It’s just that you’re upstaging my unhealthy posts, which yesterday amounted to a seasonal allergy attack. My face still hurts and my nose is all tingly like. But that hardly holds a candle to your suffering.

Hope you can get some better rest soon and heal.

Weii, still sleeping (or not) upright on the couch because the shoulder doesn't like the strain of me sleeping on my side or back. However, I forgot to take one of my scheduled Percocets yesterday to no ill effect, so Im going to start cutting back on those. I'm also off the Tordol since you can only take those for three days. It's down to Tylenol and I'm reducing those as well. The Queen has been very good about freezing shoulder every ninety minutes with the freeze device

What's the freeze device?

Were the percs giving you any relief?

The freeze device is called the Iceman. It pumps cold water through a giant patch I strap to my shoulder. It's like a little ice chest with a pump attached through a hose to the patch. Quite ingenious. Going through a lot of ice.

I'll know if the Percs were helping once I'm off them, I think. The ice helped a lot. Most of the misery comes at night.

So true. So very true. On so many levels.

You must be getting sleep deprived hallucinations about now.
