I'm more broken than you
I know it. It gets me up in the morning.

TMI for both of you! Why do your minds even go there? Ew!

Go where? I was indicating "Too Much Indigestion". What were you thinking?

Went to the dentist yesterday and have to get another crown. She had been watching one of my molars that had a crack; apparently the crack was no bigger but the big filling was decaying. Oh well.

After having your teeth scraped under anesthetic, maybe don't use the water pick that night before you go to bed.

At one point, the dental technician she remarked she had run out of gauze pads and that never happens. She uses the gauze pads to mop up the blood in my mouth.

I had two different dental hygienists scrape my teeth. One did the upper right and the lower left. The other did the lower right. Stephanie, who did the lower right, was a little bit older than the woman who did the other two sections. Stephanie took a long time to let the anesthetic work before she started. She also only gave me one injection in the back of the jaw. Stephanie gave the anesthetic more time to work because the lower jaw is more solid than the porous upper jaw. Stephanie also just used mechanical tools to scrape away at my teeth. The other woman, Carrie (?) did two shots, one in the back and one in the side. She also gave me taps on the outside to help move the medicine around. There was also no waiting. She went right to work. She also used an ultrasonic device to help. The ultrasonic device sounds like the dentist drill and I had flashbacks from that. She finished up using the regular scraping tools. She started a bit too soon, because I had a few jabs of pain when she scraped.

In either case, both procedures were miserable. I spent a lot of time clenching my entire body. The next appointment is in March unless someone cancels and they call me in early.

The medicine I drop in my eyes for my glaucoma has a beta blocker in it. That gives me a resting heart rate in the mid to high 40s. This is of concern to primary care physician. When I told her my heart rate is usually low, she mentioned my heart rate is that of a marathon runner not for an overweight middle aged man. Harsh. The plan to get less beta blocker into my system, according to my eye doctor, was to pinch my tear ducts closed for five minutes after I had put in the drops. What a great plan!

Yesterday, I think the local anesthetic used for my teeth work interacted with the eye drops. Twice I got alerts on my phone that my heart rate had dropped into the 30s. Fortunately, the alerts worried me enough to speed up my heart to more normal levels, normal for my current situation.

Funny story. I decided to go on long walks while in Saratoga. Probably too long. My toe nails on my big toes are so bruised at the moment they are in danger of falling off.
