Doom Dreams
I had a short dream that I was talking to TG about music. That's about all I can remember, but as I woke up the band name Camel popped into my head. TG liked them years ago, and I had one, maybe two of their albums as well. I had totally forgotten they existed, and had not thought about them for nearly 40 years. All I could remember was one album name and the cover; I had to look them up on AllMusic to see what songs they did.

Maybe I should have put this in Doom music?

Had one of those great dreams where tQ said she wanted to see other people and was already well along the process in seeing other people.

A bear dream! Lots of bears, including two white bears. They had all come to this lake to drink and feed. The only problem was all the people getting too close too the bears. I believe I kicked one guy to back off.

Last night I watched Vic and Flo Saw a Bear (2013).  Oddly enough, there was never a bear.  Still, it was a great and meaningful title.  The movie is decent, but not worth reviewing, so I won't.  In hindsight, if I really wanted to see a bear last night, I should have set my Greg Dreamcatcher Unit to record.

Yuki’s morning bark pulled me out of an apocalyptic nightmare that played out like a movie.

Everything collapsed. Power grid, internet, WiFi, water, phone service, radio - all gone. A 5 person work group band together and go on the run, breaking into their office (some sort of tech or bio lab) to grab resources and head to the airport where they have to dodge other groups to try and get a flight. One group throws some sort of firebomb at a vending machine. A pilot demands lots of money which I question because that has collapsed too.

The weird thing was I wasn’t in the dream. I was watching it in my mind’s theater, like watching a movie. I didn’t know any of the characters.

It was very emotionally unsettling. Upon waking, I felt rather disturbed by it.

Gee, I wonder what could have brought those thoughts on? It's a puzzlement.

In honor of the playoffs, I had a baseball dream. I was due to pitch in the first game of the series. The game had already started and I couldn't find my hat in order to pitch in the first inning. Thankfully, found it right before I need to take the field.

For some reason there was also a man playing two trumpets at the same time as part of a half-time celebration.

Why do my credit cards keep getting declined in my dreams specifically at Chinese restaurants. I also don't appreciate the water streaming out of a circuit breaker and into my face.

Psychoanal = I am the Chinese restaurant and no, you cannot order the sweet and sour pork.

And that’s not water...

Last night I dreamt something about a reunion of the SJSU fencing team. I only remembered that just now because I saw some selfies on Facebook and thought ‘damn. I didn’t take any selfies at that reunion.’

Last night I dreamed that my friend who's a faculty member here was also a painter, which was a surprise to me. Several of her paintings, kind of impressionistic landscapes were featured in The Art Bulletin (which is an academic mag for art historians) and it was now the size of half of standard sheet. And although her name is Jan, she was using the name Malina, or something like that.

Psychoanal = um. I got nothing. You're sure there was no sweet & sour pork involved? Because I can Freudian the crap out of sweet & sour pork.

I’m driving with ED as my rider. We’re high, maybe even tripping. I can not see. I’m freaking out because I’m driving blind. I’m yelling at ED that I need to pull over but he’s not responding. It was one of those nightmares that was all about the sensation and emotion because I couldn’t see. I had only one visual, a out of body shot of the front of the car blindly barreling forward. It’s night and it’s snowing.

I’m savoring my sleep but the transitions are hard - brain circus is deafening. So I stay up on my phone until I drop it as I nod off, and when I wake, I surf it. I know they say that’s terribly unhealthy but it’s the way for now.

I am at a concert in what could only be a civic auditorium with those old metal seats with the thick fold down cushioned seat. I think it's a double bill with Y&T being the headliner. Blue Oyster Cult is the opener. I'm excited because I've seen BOC before. The curtain opens to reveal the six members of the band sitting in chairs on the stage. The stage isn't elevated so members of the audience, which aren't very many can come right down to the front of the stage and stand right in front of the band members.

The members of the band aren't very busy because they have also brought their electric wood working tools with them in order cut wood while they aren't playing during the song. I definitely spotted a table saw and a band saw. On the band saw they were cutting miters. One of the musicians even had a table to display his selection of hand crafted dream catchers. I had my iPhone camera with me so I was able to photograph the musician with sawdust floating in the air in front of us.
