Les Saignantes (2005, Cameroon) by Jean-Pierre Bekolo
#1
Watched on Criterion.  Also available on Kanopy as The Bloodettes.

A pair of supernatural lesbian call girls tangle with corrupt government officials.

Jean-Pierre Bekolo instills this Afro-feminist sci-fi satire with a whole lot of style.  I'm not sure I followed how everything connected together, but this is filled with some great camerwork and editing and a whole lot of eye candy.  And it's got a great soundtrack, though it might get a tad overused in the late going.

Next best thing to watching a movie titled Sanguineous, which I was going to say doesn't exist.  But there might be a Portuguese one made in 2019 (likely straight to video, if even that).

Sanguineous is the U.K. title of DM & the Yeti.

cf - your reviews need a trailer...or at the very least, a poster.
