More Leung Siu-long research.
I was led to believe this was Bruce Li vs. Bruce Leung, but it's not. They do have a fight but Bruce Li plays Bruce Lee as an HK cop and Leung plays a master of dim mak who always wears an orange jumpsuit while the rest of his school wears Karate gis. It's a silly 70s crime drama - who is the Iron Hand who keeps killing everyone with a two-finger-to-the-neck killing blow? There's gratuitous boobs and lots of fights, mostly in junkyards, alleys, Kung Fu schools and container yards. The fashion is awesome - bell bottom jeans, platform shoes, oh-so-wide lapels.
Leung shines when it comes to fight scenes delivering the fastest (sometimes sped up), crispest (dude is tight and precise) and longest one-er choreo, outclassing everyone else. He's such a super kicker. And he plays for comedy - the ol pole-in-the-mouth-teeth-extraction move, duel thug head bonks ala stooge-fu, and lots of groin grabs - total grab and holds while the victims just grimace, frozen in agony. He seems to specialize in that move. Even when he was here, doing some demos, he played the old groin grab. Good move tho. Effective.
It would be funny to cosplay 70s Brucesploitation. I'd need bell bottom jeans, a jean jacket, a wide collared shirt of off pastel color, platform shoes, those dark aviator sunglasses, some sort of chain necklace and the Bruce hair. Nah, too much work. I got none of that.
