This is that netflixer that just broke records starring Aniston & Sandler. We all watched it with Tara’s friend Alex who hiked half dome with us, after enjoying a feast at Pacific Thai downtown.
Tara is a fan of Friends so she was into Aniston. She hates Sandler. I don’t care for either. This rom-com mystery hinges on liking their chemistry. Didn’t work for me at all. To Tara’s credit, she called all the storytelling devices before they happened, including solving the bulk of the mystery. Stacy laughed at the premature ejaculation scene - I don’t know why. Tara seemed to enjoy Aniston. I scoffed at the dumb ‘Chinese’ murder dagger. Alex refrained from comment.

I was tempted until I saw the horrible reviews. I have yet to enjoy an Adam Sandler movie. Maybe a few bits of Happy Gilmore. His success is still inexplicable to me. Although I've done two of his movies.

He was funny on Snl. At least I think he was. I can’t really remember.

I forgot to mention that there was a proposal at Pacific Thai when we were eating there. Unfortunately we were seated at the only table that couldn’t see. It suddenly got quiet, then the whole restaurant burst into applause. I was all ‘wth?’ with Pra Ram hanging out of my mouth.

Christina wanted to watch this. It was so bad. Sandler is off-putting, Aniston didn't get much to work with, and the whole thing was a mess.
Thankfully it seems to have made her not want to watch #2.
