I thought it was root-canal time. I guess that is the bright spot. The flu-like symptoms are almost gone. Still wiped out, though.

Can I just say that every time this thread gets highlighted, I get nervous.

There's a number of threads here these days that make me nervous when they highlight.
A question about these shingles cases. Are they being confirmed with a blood test? The symptoms seem so varied that I'm starting to lose sight of what I should look for. I did get a shingles shot a couple years ago, though now they have a new one that they're recommending. I don't think I've gotten that one.

I was thinking about ttt-ing this thread because I'm so broken right now. I was going to list my ailments (mostly so I can keep track of them myself) but in comparison to you guys, I'm in great shape. That's what I love about this thread.

Licking Shingles. Band name?
CF: No, not confirmed by trained, certified medical staff. Painful pustules in a rash form are a must-have for the discerning shingles sufferer. Flu-like symptoms seem to be optional, but common.

I had a weepy scab on my head that wouldn't heal and itched really bad.

Same with me: my doc wants me to get the latest but the vaccine is backordered. They’ll contact me when the shot is available again.

I read that being around children who have chickenpox is also effective at boosting immunity. But it requires being around children.

Typing left handed sucks. Sucks more than when you do it from hospital room. Weirdo sudden infection. Right thumb. One round of surgery done, maybe 1 more.

Yikes. What the F? Get well soon.
Hopefully this won't impact your career as a hand model too much.

I’m at Kaiser. They’re keeping me for another day, but no more cutting. Cleaning/re-packing the wound is the thing. Still a freakin mystery infection.

Does anybody else get terrified now when they see that there is a new post in this section?
