This is one of two DVDs I received from 366weirdmovies.com by winning some mickey mouse drawing. It's a promotional thing, which I believe DM does, to get some use out of otherwise worthless merchandise. No doubt these two DVDS were sent to them in hopes they would make the list.
This one won't.
What I liked about Frank & Eva is its brutal honesty. The DVD had Sylvia Kristel's name in huge type on the cover, and by god she really does appear in the movie for a moment (her debut). Another thing I really liked was that the DVD had almost no extras. Yes, it was that kind of movie.
The female lead, Eva, is played by Willeke van Ammelrooy, a very talented actress who to my mind is much more attractive than Sylvia. Unfortunately, she is given virtually nothing to do in this flick, other than be long-suffering (her husband Frank is a lazy two-timing drunkard). The whole film is very unpleasant to watch. There is some nudity (both male and female), but nothing particularly erotic.
Enough said.
I remain irrationally optimistic that the second DVD I got from 366weirdmovies.com will be a whole lot better. Stay tuned.
