SF Giants - Bruce Lee Tribute Night 09/04
#31
The park opens 2 hours before the game (5:15 for the 7:15 first pitch).

I like to get there early and watch the batting practice, line chalking and pre-game performances. Since it's assigned seating and guaranteed bobbleheads you can get there whenever you like.

We usually take BART to Montgomery and walk the 1.3 miles up 2nd St. to the park.

You can also take BART to Embarcadero and buy a $4 round trip MUNI ticket that goes right to the park.

My favorite food is the vegetable fried rice from the Chinese carriage thing (forgot the name, but there is only one in the whole park). They also sell Asian beer slightly cheaper than the domestic brews at the other places.

I was planning to get there a half hour early. I'll be taking mass transit from union square.

Dr. Yeti - send me the mailing address for the tix or a secret meeting spot for the handoff.

I don't trust meeting up outside, I don't stay outside. I go inside as soon as I arrive.

If I don't make sure the chalk lines are laid correctly, who will?

10,000 thanks or a pricey beer when I see you. What the heck, you can have both!

A thousand thanks to you right now!

I'm away from the tickets but I saw this on Facebook:

Bruce Lee Tribute Night - September 4th at AT&T Park. VIP Experience includes Lower Box 103 ticket,
access to Triples Alley VIP party space from 4:45-6:45, ability to watch batting practice from the warning track, complimentary food and beverage (beer and wine included) during pregame party,
VIP-edition Bruce Lee bobblehead (different from regular special event giveaway) and a visit by members of the Lee family http://atmlb.com/PJUYml

We could meet member of the Lee family!

I just checked. The VIP experience is an additional $150. I think I will be passing on this experience. Despite the temptation of an additional and different bobblehead Bruce Lee.

Why bother with the Lee family when we got each other?

BTW, the got game shirts loose their integrity when run in orange. It's an obscure reference in yellow. In orange, it makes no sense at all. I might still wear my yellow one. Or not.

Best to all of you brothers going to the park for the Bruce Lee Bobble-head-a-pallooza. I'll be out of town visiting my daughter for the first time in Bozeman, and doing a little camping at Yellowstone.

I went to a game a few weeks ago and they lost. I think almost every game I've ever been to they've lost. When they were gunning for the world series last year, it seems that any game I watched fully on TV, they lost. So to help the team, I will avoid watching. And if they lose, I probably caught part of the game while passing a TV somewhere.

Note: The Club level has a better beer selection if you can figure out how to get in there...
