Brain circus insomnia
That redefines morning wood.

I had a rough night too, stressing everything about the season. Feels like everything is up in the air and I’m having a hard time keeping track, plus I got a ridiculous bill yesterday from kaiser. I must’ve woken like a dozen times last night but I managed to force myself back to sleep. The cold helps.

I made every effort not to use that phrase or construe that phrase figuring that would be the phrase that would first come to mind when I talked wood.

Tweaking again. I did have a late coffee and an eventful evening. Fortunately I don’t have any meetings tomorrow first thing in the morning. I wrote for a bit but lost focus.

Snapped awake at the same time. Started doing build lists while being serenaded by Maeve who was in quite the mood. I never did get back to sleep. Headed out with the dogs at 4am and I am now contemplating naps.

I did get one sleep cycle in for which I am grateful.

3am is my go to time, it seems. After bowel evacuation, I lay in bed figuring out how to finish the Christmas Carpentry project. Lots of sequencing or at least trying to determine the sequence to get everything done for the Friday install. The rain is not going to help with drying times on the stain.

Hello, 3am, my old friend. I will be very happy when the top secret project is done so I can stop thinking about how to finish it.

With my blurry AM vision, I thought you said ‘Hello Sam’

I was like ‘who dat?’

I was thinking Samantha from Bewitched, or Sam from Cobra Kai. Either way, I was a bit jelly.

Funny how your mind goes to midgets and old guys and mine goes to hawt witches and martial arts ingenues.

I went to bed early and now I’m up because a car alarm went off but I was too comfy to get up and see and now I’m disappointed with myself for not reacting and being a better neighborhood watcher. Yuki didn’t bark, which also bums me out. He barks a lot at night at random stuff. If a car got broken into, I’d hope he’d bark at that.

I fell asleep reading at around 7 only to wake up an hour later from the short nap. Thought I’d write but my thoughts aren’t clear enough. Only awake but not motivated.
