Dr green thumb was banging

Atmosphere just came on. Interesting sound, electro samples. Kinda groovy.

First time I saw Cypress Hill, they opened for Henry Rollins & the Beastie Boys at bgc. Early 90s I think. Luved then ever since. They still delivered tonight.

Soyriso Nachos + Cypress Hill = just the medicine I needed tonight.

Now they’re sampling Another one bites the dust. Makes me want to hear to original.

Sorry that was Z Trip again.

Now it’s Atmosphere.

White hip hop. Someone said he’s better than Eminem. Not. Major meh.

A skinny blonde gal is doing this weird dance in front of me. She keeps staring at me with a funny mollied up grin. I stare back because her dancing makes no sense. But she’s enjoying herself and it’s entertaining.

Been home for over an hour, scrolling through my phone trying to wind down.

It was a bitch to get to the Greek. I gave myself an hour forty five but miscalculated the horrid 880 corridor, which I didn’t miss during the pandemic at all. Got there late but scored the 2nd to last staff parking spot.

Getting home was sweet. Hard stop at 10:30 due to a curfew that fined the band for every extra minute. I was home in an hour forty five with a minimum of traffic under that baleful smoke orange moon. It was a pleasant drive and I was grooving to the radio.

The show had the most minor of incidents, hardly worth mention. I just hung out at table service, walking the lower concourse when the music was interesting. Stoned was NOT the way of the walk, despite the best efforts of some old ticket-holding friends.

It was all about Cypress Hill, who are still stoner fun.

Glad I went.

Back at the Mo for CH’s 25th.

Got my Mo andytown shirt on.

Too busy lookin good.

Today was the Cherry Blossom festival in Japantown. Glad I came up early. Lots of cool fan anime art. Huge crowd. I got lucky with parking. Had a nice tempura udon for dinner.

The opener did nothing for me but the crowd was into them - dj & rapper.

And we’re home safe.

Man, I don't know how many times I've seen Cypress Hill - I saw their first tour to SF when they opened for Henry Rollins and see them almost every time they pass through. Tonight they were slayin. If they kept up that energy, it'll be one of the best shows I've seen them do. So fun to see them in a more intimate house like the good ol’ Mo.

They dropped a bass bomb that rattled the Mo pipes and got one of the veteran crew to look up and say 'jesus'. That seldom happens here. The Mo is the most jaded crew in Cali.

But towards the end, we had some patients: a syncopal & a barfer. I was distracted and dont really know how they finished. Seemed strong tho.

The Mo gave me a pair of the mid fingerless gloves that I’ve been wanting. They say FILL over the right knuckles and MORE over the left. I had a pair of Jack Skellington fingerless gloves that I treasured for years, gifted to the whole crew by LB’s widow so many years ago, but I lost one last season & have been desiring the Mo pair ever since. Tried to get them last time I was up but got distracted by work. Now I want some of their socks too. Luv the Mo!

Had a great drive home. The radio was banging some solid tracks juiced for late night and 280 was barren enough to get near to triple digits on the speedometer. Sometimes I still do enjoy driving with the stereo blasting.

Glad I made the trip. Cypress Hill delivered once again and it was good to check in with the Mo crew - such good authentic people.
