I wonder if this is based on Mard Ko Dard Nahi Hota (The Man Who Feels No Pain)

I like Quaid. He voices Boimler in ST: LD
I also like that this uses a Blackpink track as the soundtrack, one of my fav tunes of theirs.
This was fairly entertaining. It takes a bit to get going. The bank robbery doesn't happen until like a third into the film, and then there's a brutal tone shift that dumps major ultravi sanguineousness. Quaid is good - he'll always be Boimler to me, but he works as a lovable schlub in absurd circumstances. There was a fine mcguffin that I didn't see coming but should have in 20/20 hindsight. And the villain is delightfully psychotic and self centered. There was a decent lol moment, or at least some amused giggles. The booby trapped house reminded me of one of my fav guilty pleasures, the Shaw Bros flick House of Traps http://www.brotherhoodofdoom.com/doomFor...p?tid=3504
It was not like Mard Ko Dard Nahi Hota. Perhaps that was the initial inspiration, but this goes an entirely different place.
All in all, a decent watch, especially if you like prosthetic gore. That's not the focus of all of this, but there are a few scenes that are harsh. You could do a lot worse with that hour and fifty.
D00M recommended.
