We needed a reminder of how great William Hurt was. We only meant to watch a little but became engaged and saw it through. It has such a Cold War retro feel, especially with what’s happening now. Brian Dennehy and Lee Marvin are great too, deep in their element with their characters. A fine vintage thriller.
I remembered very little of this - just the skull cleaning and reconstruction (I still say the reconstruction artist could’ve never got the eyebrows right). I remembered the faceless, fingerprintless, tooth mangled frozen cadavers too. I forgot the whole sable plot line - were sables really worth that much?
The soundtrack is intense - James Horner mimicking Giorgio Moroder. It’s almost too much but in the end, adds a lot to the tension.
I forgot emperor palpatine was in this.
D00M recommended although I imagine we’ve all already seen this. That being said, it’s a decent revisit.
