I was really enjoying this show. The first three episodes were great. There was a lot of that European cool spy thriller vibe going on with just a touch of LeCarre' workingman spy thing. They stole the title cards from Atomic Blond to show what cities they were in.
It was all going well until the fourth episode, when I had to throw up my hands and say no. This is too stupid. Just because you can write it, doesn't make it believable. So, I have to bail. I might go back when I need to know how the stupidity carried forth. But I also might read the book.
Feh.
As a matter of fact, my anger does keep me warm

I was kind of like Greg on this. There's a lot of ridiculous things you just have to accept. But my wife liked it, so we kept at it, and it got better. Sandra Oh is good and Fiona Shaw is excellent. It is uneven though, but fairly enjoyable. Season 4 ends unresolved, and they haven't been able to make any more yet.

Killing Eve is back with its final season. It's on AMC which we don't have and BBC America which we only get on DirectTV Stream (ne DirectTV, ne AT&T TV). I have no idea when it airs, but it was set up to record, so luckily the first ep was waiting in the recorded stuff...lucky because the commercial breaks on BBC are about 5 min long, so I was able to skip over them!
More of the same. This time around, the crew is going after "The Twelve". We're enjoying it, but if you're not, then you won't.
More music by David Holmes' "Unloved". Noir-y, clubby sounding...I'm not sold on it, but Unloved has Jade Vincent on vocals for many songs and Keefus Ciancia playing keyboards. The two of them were in Jade Vincent Experiment. I discovered JVE way back in the MP3 heyday, when MP3.com had a free download of the soundtrack to David Holmes "Ones and Zeroes" film. The audio was interspersed with dialog from the film and you could tell that the film was really terrible. But the music was awesome. I liked JVE so much that I went back to MP3.com and bought the JVE ep which turned out to be just the same 5 tracks with the incidental movie dialog that I hated. The existence movie seems to have been scrubbed from the internet and the only reference to JVE I find is a later release they did called "Moy" which has different versions of some of the songs. Later Jade Vincent and Keefus Ciancia formed a group "Vincent & Mr. Green" did a couple of albums and have a song on "The Sisterhood of the Traveling Pants" soundtrack. Mr. Ciancia has also worked with T. Bone Burnett on other soundtracks. I'd really like to see them resurrect the songs/versions from that original Ones anmd Zeroes soundtrack. They did a really great cover of "If I could be with you" by Louis Armstrong.

And it's over. Ghosts...a reflection on the series arc. Loose ends are tied. A semi-expected end. I'm not sure if it was satisfying or not.
sigh.
Now I have to find something new to watch...
