SF Giants NLCS Game 5
#1
I'm still not sure how my brother-in-law has season tickets. I just know he offered me a space for Game 4 and 5 of the division pennant.

The energy escalates from NLDS exponentially. Every hit, catch, and strike requires standing up and cheering or collective sighing depending on which team is performing. Every successful play by the Giants requires high-fiving everyone in reach. My hand hurts.

Joe Montana threw out the first pitch. Steve Perry was on hand again to lead 40,000 people in karaoke versions of 'Lights' and 'Don't Stop Believin'". Chris Issak sang 'God Bless America'. It would have been hard to pump up the crowd any higher.

The Cardinals led 4-3 up till the 7th. The Giants tied it up in the 8th and squeezed out of a bad 2nd/3rd base runner situation in the 9th.

Giants fans were resigned to a 10th inning when relative newcomer Travis Ishikawa knocked a HR into Levi's Plaza.

I just remember screaming "We're going to the World Series" as I double hi-fived everyone in arm's reach.

The Giants were not expected to survive the wildcard let alone the NLDS.

Together, we are Groot!

Jealous, much.

Go Giants.

I keep expecting to see you in the cove, although Fox doesn't usually show this shot.

Ditto to what Greg said.

I was at my mom's. She got sleepy and headed to bed at the bottom of the 9th. I caught her before she went to sleep with the results.

I did that too, but I was at home. With a cat. Who was not amused. About the yelling. Or the high-fives.
