actually, it's up to gale force winds at the office already. for example, g2 has asked for something for me twice already, when i had provided it long before she even asked. she's in that mode where she's constantly yelling out 'throw me the ball' and then walking off before catching it. :roll:

there's been a lot of unexpected last minute problems this year. i can't tell if it's more than usual as i'm dealing with a lot on other fronts too. and the office is in it's weird state of denial - hopefully they are right and all will be okay. my crew lists are really light on all fronts. a lot of people had schedule conflicts this year.

today is my weekly telecommute day and all is calm here in the cruz. trying to get ahead on writing, listening to my reggae show, and doing laundry. i'll pack for this weekend tonight.

I am sorry DOOM brothers.

I caught a flu virus returning from England. It took me out of work for four days.

The flu developed into a respiratory infection which my doctor says "will take a while to get over". He also prescribed some codeine cough syrup which made me feel worse and renewed my distrust of the medical profession.

I am self-medicating with ginger, garlic, honey, Scotch and NyQuil. I am slowly recovering but cannot make the event. This saddens me because it is the one time I get to hang with my DOOM brothers and feel all-important with a 'Staff'' badge.

So it goes.
