Wow was the pilot bad. Bad. Bad. It mostly had to do with the script. There were plot holes you could drive an alien spacecraft through.
I understand not showing the invasion by the aliens because it's expensive and it would suffer in comparison to the big budget action films that have done similar scenes. But in some cases you give out too much information. I get it Noah Wyle's an ex-history professor. Move on. But why can the humans walk around in the day time but need to hide at night? Which begs the question, why not just carry out your raids during the daytime instead of the night time.
The whole show was full of foolishness. The production design was weak and looked like an alien TV show. It didn't have the grit or texture of X-files or Fringe, shows that rose about the TV limitations.
Yes, I have the second episode waiting for me. Maybe they will have found their stride? Maybe I won't watch a third episode.
