Ides of March +11 DOOM Gathering?
#1
Anyone up for hosting a DOOM flick showing on March 26th? I've got two turntables and a microphone. Wait, sorry, I meant I got two fresh kung fu DVDs to show - viewtopic.php?f=9&t=2226.

I've got a western from Thailand. Haven't watched it yet...

March will be a rough month for me, so I'll just go ahead and say yes, I'll definitely be there and no, sorry I can't be there and be done with it. Carry on.
In the Tudor Period, Fencing Masters were classified in the Vagrancy Laws along with Actors, Gypsys, Vagabonds, Sturdy Rogues, and the owners of performing bears.

but has some distinct and well-thought-out stylistic flourishes. So I would recommend it, but with some reservations.

I'll add The Good, the Bad and the Weird to my list too. Thanks.

I'm getting tired of cowboy kung fu flicks frankly. They used to be innovative, but they've gone passe. I wrote a short article on the topic way back when Shanghai Noon dropped. Man, that was over a decade ago. There's a new one picking up buzz called Shangdown: Way of the Spur. Seems like more of the same to me.

March is bad for me:

03/05 Hugh Cornwell in SF
03/06 Orchid Expo (Fort Mason, SF)
03/08 Devotchka (GAMH)
03/11 - 03/12 Help my mom move
03/13 - (possibly open)
03/19 - Flogging Molly (Fox, Oakland)
03/26 - 03/27 SF Flower Show

April is completely open though. I could even host!

There's just the Anchor Tour April 2 so far, but I'm sure more things will fill out.

Which leaves me strangely free on March 26. Keep your phone lines open then, because I may need bail.

See you at Anchor Steam -- does that count?

hey, btw, did you ever get any of those weapon heads drilled? if so, bring them to anchor.

'cuz nothing mixes like weapons and beer.

I'm weighing in very late on this, and it sounds like it's a dead issue. But if it isn't a dead issue and is still crawling about, threatening to bite people, I could play host on that day.
If not on that day, maybe some other day.
I do have a life. Honest. But most days are likely open for me.

Long week, long day, finished up after 6, didn't want to drink on an empty stomach. Next time!
