I was pushing to see Inception, but S wanted something more mindless, something where we didn't have to think too much, plus she likes female spy flicks. Well, we sure didn't have to think. In fact, it kind of hurts to think in this film. On the bright side, it numbs the mind enough that I missed the obvious twist at the end. It's surprisingly not sexy. There's a waterboarding scene in the beginning where Angelina is in her skivvies, but that's not really erotic. The chase scenes are absurd. Angelina makes a mortar out of a fire extinguisher and cleaning supplies. Okay, that's a bit of a spoiler, but you see it in the trailer so
. The fight scenes are way to choppy and Angelina uses that improbable rebound-off-the-wall move too much. She wants to be Bourne, but no.
What's even more amusing is this is the beginning of a franchise. I can hardly wait for the sequel, which is tentatively called Pepper.
