Isn't it time to say what was best of 2005? I know Mark and Gene must have some opinion. I don't really buy that many new albums, so perhaps I'm unqualified to say much. About the best thing I got this year was the Hank Williams singles box set. I found a lot of great songs that I had never heard before. And the Eno reissues sound good and have nice packaging. I also liked Fischerspooner's Odyssey and Bloc Party's Silent Alarm
And I don't want to hear how the Green Day album was great! I think that's a case of the emperor's new clothes. All style and no substance from the wannabe Clash.

Since, El Dingo decided to go wild (Wild Dingos? That's a given), I decided to move this to the media category. Although issues would have worked as well.
As for music, I liked the U2 "Vertigo" album. I love Kanye West's " Golddigger" and of course "Fountains of Wayne Hotline " by Robbie Fulks.
More info to come.

I thought the forum was broke again, so I reposted in Music. Well, I'll think about other media.
Now I think the best dog is Hazel, the schnoodle, but I realize you will have other ideas. (And schnoodle is a fun word.)
On TV, I must admit I like Gilmore Girls (the wife introduced me long ago and I got hooked) and Ghost Hunters on SciFi (the one about TAPS, not the one with the stupid psychic in the UK) and of course the show on HBO about the Moonlight Bunny Ranch. I had hopes for Supernatural, but it didn't hold up.
I only saw a few movies in the theater, but I think the best was A Very Long Engagement, which I saw on New Years Day 2005. The worst was definitely the final Star Wars.
I think my favorite DVDs were Dodgeball and Anchorman, both delightfully stupid.
I can't fully compare since I haven't heard Sirius, but XM blows away regular radio. You can actually hear all kinds of music (well I've never heard Chinese Opera, but I don't want to either).
The best video game is still Tetris!
And this is the best website of course.

For what it's worth: my cousin Jill Soble is a producer for that HBO Bunny Ranch series. She also works for Playboy TV. Next time I run into her, should I ask for souvenirs for you?

...when Jill was producing LAPD: Life on the Beat, she gave me a pin/tie clasp with little dangling handcuffs.
I'll see what I can do.

Cindi's cousin Jill is married and doesn't live in the same house as her husband. She has a great rent controlled apartment she doesn't want to give up but is too small for the both of them.
