USA! USA!

Their loss is on you.
As a matter of fact, my anger does keep me warm

But we won. Is their win on me too? Should they keep me as a good luck charm?

One telemeet down, one to go. Then a full day of work. Then Iaido is cancelled but I plan to got to Kung Fu instead, as that will be cancelled on the 4th and my workout schedule has been poor lately with the onslaught of summer.

Then maybe watching some ultravi movie tonight, if I can stay awake.

YMAA is off today but I’m swapping it to work for a later day this month when I go to sdcc. BayCon starts today in Santa Clara and I might need over tonight because there’s a press pass waiting for me there. I went back in 2008 because it was after our TCEC and earthquake benefit and in the same Santa Clara convention center. LCF was part of a writers panel and convinced me I should get a press pass, just to check it out. She walked me through the hotel rooms where clusters of cosplayers had gathered according to their franchise. The Klingon room looked fun. One of Gaugler’s students was teaching there (Gary?) He recognized me, but it took me moment.

I remember finishing the night dancing with some romulan gsls. That was fun.

BayCon...that's a name I have not heard in a long time...my sister got me in for free ages ago when it was held at the Dunfey Hotel. My job was to be security for some scale model judging. I ended up standing at the door for several hours. Don't remember much about actual BayCon...

Nice. I should reach out to LCF about this. I don't think she's involved anymore (and I doubt she's lurking here because why would anyone do that?) One of my RM friends is on the the board so I'm covering this as a favor to him. He's an odd duck, a gentle giant with a good heart but has some ptsd from his military service. I'm probably going to go tomorrow and just hang out at home today. Might run some local errands - grocery store, stationary store...

'head' not 'need'. spelchuk is still with my new iPhone.

I bought a car yesterday...I wasn't planning to. Used car prices are crazy and I've been in a holding pattern until they come down. My Honda has almost 200K miles. It's still running great, but the AC stopped working a year ago and it's too expensive to repair for a car this old. (Heater works great, so it's really only an issue in the summer). Someone at work posted their car for sale. Same make/model, but 9 years newer, and only 45k miles. He's relocating his family to Europe and was in a rush to sell it.

It was all a bit of a rush, and a leap on my part, no time to get it inspected, but he's the original owner and has always had the service done at the dealership.

I got it for the same price I got my old one in, back in 2011.

Congrats! If you give it a name, add it to our Chariots of D00M thread - https://www.brotherhoodofdoom.com/doomFo...p?tid=3616
What model? I still drive my Honda CRV "Darth."
Do we need a Honda's of D00M thread?
No, I think not.

At Bay.con for the morning
Then home to keep talking Yuki through. He didn’t have a total freak out, no shakes or cowering, so the cbd treats are helping.

That’s good news on The Yukster
In the Tudor Period, Fencing Masters were classified in the Vagrancy Laws along with Actors, Gypsys, Vagabonds, Sturdy Rogues, and the owners of performing bears.
