I also loved Land of the Lost
In the Tudor Period, Fencing Masters were classified in the Vagrancy Laws along with Actors, Gypsys, Vagabonds, Sturdy Rogues, and the owners of performing bears.

I watched the first episode of H.R. Pufnstuf & Land of the Lost on Hoopla. Neither stood the test of time. Puf is weird, mostly due to the laugh track which highlights what’s supposed to funny but all of thst falls flat. There’s racist caricatures with an Indian tree and oriental east wind. The musical number doesnt hit and the lead kid is just annoying. Everything looks so immature. Lost is a bit better although the family is so stilted with their performances. The kids are so whiny and the dad is just dumb wifh his mansplaining. The stop motion animation and weak green screen effects can be forgiven. Cha-ma is really good weirdly enough.

Not gonna watch any more Puf. Barely made it through thst first ep. The whole aesthetic of thst show is garish and grating. Might catch a few more Lost eps. Gotta see something with Sleestak.

The Krofft brothers made some weird crap - ahead of their time perhaps in terms of breaking the mold but encumbered by the tech of the time.
