Iron Crotch Festival Announcements
#46
I went to FilmFreeway to look at some festival and I saw fire emojis all over the screen which was pretty fun.

Disappointment rears its ugly head. There won't be another announcement until March 13th. Although I do have 2 festivals that have missed their deadlines hanging around and one festival that basically said sometime in February. Although, I don't hold out much hope for that since they've watched a whopping 3 minutes.

Dear Greg,
On behalf of the 25th annual Ashland Independent Film Festival’s programmers and staff, we would like to thank you for submitting your film to us, and for the opportunity to see your work.
Please know that we carefully considered your submission. Our programming team is very impressed with the quality of films received this year, and we wish that we had room in our program for all of the outstanding films that we reviewed. Unfortunately, we are unable to include your film in this year's festival.
Keep going!
Don’t stop making art and using your voice. Creativity matters now more than ever.
As we expand our offerings into year round monthly screenings, we may reach out at other points in the year to invite you to screen your film. There is no need to re-submit separately for this consideration, we will reach out to you if we find a great fit for your project.
We wish you the best and thank you for sharing your art with us. We sincerely hope you will stay in touch and that you will continue to submit films to AIFF.
With best regards,
Aura Johnson, Director of Programming
Nicole Gullixson, Managing Director

In case you think things were over, this just in from Brazil.

Quote:Dear Gregory Lynch Jr,

Thank you for submitting the documentary Iron Crotch to the 31st É Tudo Verdade / It’s All True – International Documentary Film Festival.

Given the high number of submissions and the overall quality of the films received, the selection committee had to make difficult decisions. Unfortunately, your film was not selected for this edition. The committee’s decisions are final and will not be commented on individually.

We hope to receive your submission in future editions.

Sincerely,
Amir Labaki
Director and Founder

Your next doc should center around all these replies.

You could call in Rejection.

I didn't receive any notification from the California Capital International Documentary Festival but it shows I am not selected on the Film Freeway website.

It's a Tuesday Twofer of disappointment.

Just checked the list of films being screened at the Taiwan International Documentary Festival, announced Feb 24th, and Iron Crotch was not listed

Major bummer. You'd think Taiwan would've been a great market for this.
