Nose to the grindstone 2025

Needless to say, H has been Not Looking Forward To This. I’m hoping she gets through it better than she thinks she will, but her assessments for these things are based on a lifetime of experience.

I can totally relate. I had a lifetime of not looking forward to things. I don't know how many times I got together for the "Last hurrah"
As a matter of fact, my anger does keep me warm

Yeah, I knew you could relate more than most. This particular “Hurrah” is the last major, long visit. Any further visits will be weekend visit where she stays in a hotel so she has a sanctuary. These will likely be spaced out to every couple/few years

Wasn't there a cruise last year as well? And difficult family plus a cruise sounds like a double dose of misery.

Heading out to lunch with my bankers to discuss the funds for "Drunk Monk and the Yeti". The second part of that might not be accurate.

Careful, you might create a rift over who gets top billing...

Slow day. Went to Rasputin on my lunch - took sort of a long one - and got three dub CDs. Score!

DM gets top billing ironically because he is a bottom.

No cruise last year, but you are 100% correct about the double-dose of misery.

I have never been on a cruise. Have any of you?

Heading out to Kung Fu next and looking forward to checking in with John about last night. Then home to take Yuki for a long walk on the beach hopefully. Then over to svale to catch up to Stacy. Then up to SF to meet Tara & Bri for Tara’s belated birthday dinner. Then to the opera, where I have press passes for me & Tara. Stacy & Bri got tix and I got them access to the press room where there will be snacks, drinks & extra activities. Excited for today. Been looking forward to this opera since it was announced last year.

Never been on a cruise, never want to...except for a Euro River Cruise. I know many people who have gone and they all loved it.

Desperately wanted to spend the day on the couch reading a book I've been waiting for for six months from the library, instead I moved gravel and made ash of one of the burn piles.

Christina worked so I went to the library and the used bookstore. Planning on some yardwork tomorrow then hitting a museum and going to the carwash.
