Getting ready to build an arc. I think the storm has dumped about 4 inches of rain her over the last three days. I'm going to check on the seasonal creek later.

Spent the morning in the ER instead of yoga. All good tho.
Taking care of bizness now (mostly my mom's bills) then meeting a friend and former editor for dinner downtown tonight. We were planning to go to Grateful Sunday, but with the rain, that's not happening.

Sales are down everywhere; is he aware of how shitty things are?

Actually YMAA’s Amazon sales are booming. Tai Chi is trending. We made our Amazon 2025 goals last month. That’s not my channel tho. I just over sales on the site.

Big day today. 2 YMAA meetings then over to svale to take mom to her annual doctor’s appt - her being wheelchair bound, hard of hearing, and visually impaired makes it a major challenge, harder each time. Then up to SF for Byrne at BGC.
I went to bed over an hour ago but that initial sleepiness gave way to a major 3-ring brain circus.

A few friends have already gone and posted about it. Looks great. I've never seen him live although I met him in an autographing session. He was only autographing his book which was announced at the onset, and I had brought my Remain in Light CD, but he kindly initialled it, so it's even cooler to my way of thinking.

Talking Heads played the Us Festival. I missed their entire set standing in line to get food.
Heading to town for an errand which includes picking up carrots from a church giving them away.

And this is a euphemism for what? Is someone named Bubba involved?
Never saw Talking Heads. Saw the Harrison doing Remain in Light twice, once at BottleRock and once with tg (both reviewed here somewhere). Saw the Tom Tom Club open for the Dead on New Years. Tina was super flirty, asking us if we knew was acid was.
Excited for tonight. I went through a TH phase, and even got some of Byrne's solo stuff. Lately his duets have hit me as off key, but I'll allow. It's a big stage production apparently. We'll see. Will review, like I do.

The cheap tix for tonight start at $490each!!
I saw Byrne w/St Vincent at Mtn Winery. They had a full treme band supporting them. Lots of choreography. It was a great show (good album, too).
I also saw him on the Utopia tour at the SJ Civic. I hate that venue, but it was a cool show. Very clever presentation, lots of choreography with a different fully mobile band. (I think you can watch it on HBO)
I haven't heard the new album, but I've see an few posts about the show and it looks interesting...

It was great. I regret not going more nights but there was no way.
I’ve seen video of Byrne with St Vincent. Didn’t know it was the winery.
Today I need to move the PT Cruiser, sort my mom’s advantage, work, grocery shop, oh and get home. There’s prolly more but I can’t think of it and prolly won’t get to it.

Our Q3 YMAA telemeet starts soon. Then there's work to be done all day. Then iai tonight. Then I'll likely binge my weekly P+ shows, or maybe watch a movie.

H is on her way to the airport now, will be joining her bio-parents on a Thanksgiving cruise. This is a joint 80th birthday thing for her folks, who are dedicated cruise-people. H’s relationship with her folks is fraught* and this is the “Last Hurrah” for any family outings. Needless to say, H has been Not Looking Forward To This. I’m hoping she gets through it better than she thinks she will, but her assessments for these things are based on a lifetime of experience. She’ll return on a week from Saturday, assuming that she is not being held someplace on charges.
*”Fraught” as in the entire extended family could be a Faulkner or Toni Morrison novel.
