Do not be drawn in by beautiful scenes of the Amalfi Coast. They are gorgeous, but a postcard instead. It will be more rewarding. There is an ex-marine who works at the titular hotel and is a problem solver. The first problem he solves is a bit funny but it is all pretty stupid from then on. There is an overarching mystery about the daughter of the hotel owner who is missing and the marine seems to be in love with. Then there is mystery of the moment about a millionaire who goes missing from his boat ride and the his inappropriately young wife is the prime suspect.
The Marine has a team of folks helping him who looked to be picked from Central Cliche Casting. An effete brit, a hot bisexual woman, and a crusty old street wise Italian. I don't really know their function except they follow along with the Marine and drop supposedly funny sayings.
It's a chore. I will watch no more.
