Zip-Car Jazz recently, I had forgotten how bad jazz lyrics can be.
Zip-Car Jazz is a good album title.
In the Tudor Period, Fencing Masters were classified in the Vagrancy Laws along with Actors, Gypsys, Vagabonds, Sturdy Rogues, and the owners of performing bears.

But DJ Tiffany is not on the ones & twos. She had a bad fall, and then went to the Grammys for the first time.
It's a prerecorded show by a guest DJ, KT. He's kinda messing up. He said he hand picked some Bob Marley tracks for good sound quality in celebration of his birthday, but there's already been a few skips. So far, these all sound like standard tracks, which are enjoyable but not deep. Alas, reggae...

So Tiffany reached out to me via fb dm, asking if I lived across the street from Chelsea, the gf of my neighbor Buck who died mysteriously back in 22 ( http://brotherhoodofdoom.com/doomForum/s...p?tid=7011 ). Tiffany and I have been at several reggaes together (she’s tall so she’s easy to spot) but we’ve never formally met. I thought that might’ve been her talking to Chelsea this afternoon and indeed it was.
She noticed my reggae KZSC sticker on Darth, which I won off her show. We’ve been chatting about the reggae family and such for the last hour or two. She invited me to come out to the Pono show tomorrow - no wait - today, but I’ll be too busy packing and fretting. Hopefully they can hold it down until I have a free Sunday night.
It was an irie surprise. One love one family. Rasta Cruz forever!

It's Bob Marley birthday month celebrating what would've been his 80th. DJ Tiffany is throwing down some rarities. She's got some good ones already.

Blasted the Reggae Express while barreling down 280 at 80+mph was icing after Bini. Sometimes when the music hit, I feel alright.

Finishing up the KKUP Reggae Music Marathon (no, once again I did not donate because I'm stingy that way and the last thing I need is another T-shirt). My friends DJ Aye Que Linda & Robert Rankin have been runnin tunes. It's been nice to crank up the ol' Magnovox at my mom's house. I usually can't play it loudly because it's night when I'm usually here. At 1/3rd volume, that's plenty. That solid wood cabinet keeps the bass warm and I'm sure it's what made me the bass worshipper that I am now.

I just realized that the right speaker on the ol’ magnavox is out. May have happened when it got moved when we took out the carpet. I’ve been thinking it sounded a bit off but wrote it off to the whole house now being a wood cabinet and that changed the sound. The sound really travels here now. Maybe I’ll try open it up to see if it’s just a loose wire. I haven’t changed a speaker out in decades. But I remember it wasn’t that hard back then.

I'd guess loose wire. All those wires in the old days.

I hope so. When I dial the balance all the way to the dead speaker, it still makes a very faint noise - the broadcast, not just static. What do you think that might mean?
I glanced at the back panel and it’s easy to remove. It’s held in place by small knobs that appear to twist for release like a picture frame. Checking that out is on my ‘to do’ list for the house.

DJ Benny just dialed into Jimmy Cliff's passing and his tribute is making me misty. You can hear the sadness in his voice.

The new car has Sirius/XM so I listen to that. I haven't used the FM radio at all. The rest of the time I play music off my phone. A lot of CDs pass through my hands, and I try to listen to the ones I sell to make sure that they play okay. Plus I like to make playlists, so I always have plenty of stuff to listen to.

I found my ‘88 Hanging Fire Jimmy Cliff tour T-shirt. It’s in good shape.
