For some reason, I never put together that Hozier is Irish, but figured it out as soon as he said ‘fockn’. He was quite good live - a powerful singer and both Tara & I were surprised at how many of his songs we knew.

OSL is magical at night - the way the lights hit the trees & fog is so special. We did a final walkabout, struggling to find somewhere to spend our last food coupons (we ended up getting $80 Sunday). We got hot chocolates & more momos and gave away some and still ended up with one unspent.

Checked out Anderson.paak who was ok. Caught jorja smith doing Vanity’s Nasty Girl. Ended back at Hozier and just as he finished Take me to Church, we got a call - a lost gal, again no phone, in a sheer cat suit. She eventually recalled her sister’s number which I called and arranged a pick up (she took an uber from Redwood City). A good albeit long complicated save.

We walked back to Tara’s reflecting on how odd of an OSL it was, but still fun, and how Tara had to do more work on her own than ever but rose to the occasion. The music didn’t really hit. Beck, Doechii & Hozier were the strongest. And the shrooms were also strong.

My Bollywood stealth mode show didn’t deliver. It was a struggle getting home but I made it obvs.

Almost 9 miles walking on Sunday.

If you are wearing a sheer cat suit, where are you gonna put your phone?

She had a Fanny pack for her makeup. She had stunning makeup. Her eyes were lined with sequins. At one point, she started giving Tara makeup advice (Tara seldom wears makeup).

Quote:Hundreds take to social media to voice crowd safety concerns after Outside Lands Music Festival
"People were passing out left and right," said one concertgoer. "It was hard to breathe," said another.

There are safety questions after the Outside Lands music festival, with hundreds of people taking to social media with concerns over crowd sizes.

SAN FRANCISCO (KGO) -- There are now safety questions after Outside Lands Music Festival, with hundreds of people who attended taking to social media with concerns over crowd sizes.
The festival is one of San Francisco's largest annual events, and there is a feeling among many that the problems happened during the headliner shows.
Video shows concertgoers packed in to see the artist 2hollis.
"These groups of guys just started shoving to the front, like it was crazy. They were shoving through people," Georgia Trifiletti said.
Trifiletti's thoughts were echoed by hundreds who attended the festival in Golden Gate Park, many referring to the younger crowds.
Katherine and Gabriana Williams told ABC7 News they were squeezed from all directions during the Tyler, the Creator performance.
"So we could kind of get up on our tiptoes to try to get fresh air above the crowd. But I can't imagine what it's like if you were a shorter person who couldn't do that, because I felt like, like I might pass out, and we had water, and we could get fresh air, and we were both just thinking, we were like, this kind of feels like it's gonna be another Astroworld," the sisters said.
Katherine and Gabriana forced their way out during that concert over safety concerns.
Others say the headline artist lineup led to problems as it didn't allow exit times.
"It got to the point where they did have to tell everybody to take a step back, but that took a while. And people were passing out left and right," Julianna Sangalang said.
"And we were especially on edge, because the girl right next to us during Gracie Abrams' set passed out," Williams said.
"I'm five foot and everyone around me was so tall, so I was just like, my head was up, I was also like gasping for air, it was hard to breathe. Me and my friend, we had to leave after a couple songs, and it was even hard to leave," Trifiletti said.
ABC7 News did not get responses from those with Outside Lands, Another Planet Entertainment, or Rock Medicine. The Outside Lands website says event staff, security personnel, and law enforcement were located throughout the venue.
Some online would like to see the all-ages festival go 21 and over going forward.
"Maybe chaperones for high schoolers, because there were a lot of large groups of 15, 16-year-old boys without any adults around, and when you're that age, you don't really understand," Williams said.
All of those ABC7 News spoke with said overall they did enjoy Outside Lands, but felt it was important to voice these concerns.

Gotta call BS on this. When someone passes out, they call RM. Sure we had plenty of calls, but not of a significantly greater magnitude than what might be expected for a festival of this size. Some people passed out. Some people always pass out. But they weren't 'passing out left and right.'
There were a lot of high schoolers. There were a lot of collegiates too.
