But they have the Pergamon Altar. And the Nefertiti head. And some great mummy portraits. And too many great paintings to count in the Gemaldegalerie and the Nationalgalerie alone. They have tons of museums. Probably one nearby.

Hit the Pergamon a couple years ago. Too crowded to enjoy.

As a matter of fact, my anger does keep me warm

I was really hoping to see The Yeti in this clip somewhere from "The Most Wuthering Hieghts Day Ever" event in Berlin this past weekend...

Sacrilege, I'm sure, but I prefer the Pat Benatar version of this song.

You are a big white yeti. You needn't worry about U.S. customs...

We’re in Paris now. France is playing Morocco in the world cup (game just started). Every bar, bistro, & brasserie is packed and we can hear the cheering in our hotel room. Had dinner with semi-local friend who said “no matter who wins tonight, something will be set on fire”. I am enjoying Paris immensely.

Bought some yeti-clothes & shoes (I have a much easier time finding a variety of yeti-skins in Europe, which I think is weird).

Dinners last 2 hours (min) the Parisians are lovely so far. Some libraries and bookstore cafes are on the agenda.

Too damn hot, though.

Loving Paris, though. I love cities, and this is “City” writ large.

Bastille Day is coming up. Their armed forces practiced their flyover today: Waves snd waves of fighter jets + miscellaneous aircraft, from jumbo jets to sub-hunters. I'm talking several groups of 6 to 10 each. 20 min later the various helicopters did the same thing.

We'll be on a lunch cruise on the Seine during Bastille Day.

The suffering is real
