I utter swear words at my Mac whenever the spinning wheel of death goes on too long. I swear a lot. It annoys Stacy but amuses Yuki. He always comes up to me after I swear wagging his tail as if to say ‘who we barkn at?’ But if I was in your condition and he kicked me, I would likely break something, punch a hole in the wall or smash the remote on the floor, then have instant regret.
My nose is so raw - feels like I’ve been snorting comet. And my eyes feel like they’ve been in a microwave for 30 mins on high. Allergies suck. But it’s no comparison to major surgery then getting kicked in the wound by my own dog. Sucks more to be you, Greg. You win. Bon touché, Mon Ami. I’ll just sniffle, scratch and snort in defeat.

I'm down to one Percocet which I take in the middle of the night to help me sleep. Still sleeping upright on the couch because lying on my side or on my back in the bed puts a weird strain on my shoulder. And by sleep I mean maybe an hour or two a night. Not a lot of pain. Mostly discomfort. Starting to hear the horror stories from friends about frozen shoulders and the pain of rehab.
I see the doc for my follow up on Tuesday. Dentist visit Monday.

Were they those Skechers I always see commercials for during the news? The ones you just step into? Advertised between commercials for medicines and walk-in tubs.

They are actually Kizik brand. I try not to buy Sketchers. They always come off as cheap and poorly made.

When LB was a shoe salesman, he told me how bad it was when they discontinued Velcro shoes. He had a lot of disabled customers who relied on them. I think it added to LB’s trauma when he couldn’t offer them an alternative.

The packet of all the things I was supposed to use before my surgery just arrived from Kaiser. It included a bottle of ensure and some wipes to kill the bacteria on my shoulder

Talked to Scapino. He seemed to have forgotten I had surgery and was checking up on me. He had shoulder surgery as well but on his dominant arm. They had to open his shoulder up to get at the problem. His rehab was very bad. He continues to have effects from his heart attack which are worrisome. But not as bad as his neighbor who suffered a heart attack at almost the same time as him. The neighbor has had two strokes and is younger than Scapino.
Getting old isn't for the weak.
