Yep. She has been on Xyprexa, but I guess they are trying something else.

Can you get them to send her to a rehab facility? At least you'd buy some time.

Since she refuses to participate in rehab, they won't send her to rehab. She has put herself in a difficult position by refusing to be designated as "in Hospice Care" It cuts off a lot of our options. If she gets crazy enough, I think we can make that decision for her, but until then it's wrestling with the madness.

Awkward.

You’re documenting all the incidents, right? I mean apart from posting here (although I often use our D00M4m here to store notes that I circle back for later).

If (or when) you have to do this again, have all her incidents of calling 911, firing her caretakers, and accusations made against you and your sisters organized into one timeline document.

Maybe you already have this.

Either the lift chair stops beeping or I'm going to cause problems.

Nothing like reading a book aloud to your mother about the sexcapades of the Kennedy Clan. I was blessed to read the chapter about the affairs between JFK, RFK, and Marilyn Monroe.

My mother has a stair lift in the house. It beeps when it is unhappy. When I arrived, it was beeping. I did all my tricks to get it to stop beating. I resorted to calling the stair lift manufacturer about what to do. I did a trouble shoot session over the phone. I read the codes on the panel. I moved it up and down the stairs. Nothing. At one point, they asked me if it could possibly not be the stair lift but a broken smoke alarm. They asked this because the machine would still chirp even when the machine was turned off. I was incensed. I was standing right next to the lift. I could hear it plainly coming from the chair. Losers. The lift company representative agreed to send someone out to swap the batteries since they were pretty old.

Yeah, turns out there was a smoke alarm chirping right behind me the whole time.....

I did not know about RFK and JFK having an affair.

Somewhere in India there’s a phone tech saying ‘I told you so’ and laughing his arse off.

A special night trying to convince my mother my sisters weren't stealing her money. She wanted to call the police. At one point, she tried to get out of bed to get them herself. She can't walk at the moment.

Perhaps, try not to focus on the paradoxical thinking. That doesn't unravel. At least, it doesn't with drug-induced psychosis. It'll only keep you from staying in the present. That's my 2 cents from years in the front lines of the psychic wars.

That being said, I was never able to break through with my dad. But at least, there might be some solace for you.

I was flashing back to being at rock concerts watching you talking patients through their trips.

My goal is to wear her out. Eventually she calmed down enough where she wanted to be back in the bed. I also told her I was going to be so she needed to wrap things up. My sister has to go through this daily. I just have to pop in and take it for a short time. It's the bare minimum I can do.
