An outdoor show, huzzah!
We're wine club members at Folktail Winery mostly because they have nice grounds and host events, like comedy, music, foodie things, and members get early notice about upcoming shows/tickets
It was going good there...but then COVID happened and it all shut down. It's only starting to open back up recently. Today's menu was Dead Lee opening for Blitzen Trapper, both from Portland.
Dead Lee were OK for a guitar duo, but the woman was not the most advanced guitar player and used a lot of effects to cover that which was a little over done. The guy in the group is the drummer for Blitzen Trapper.
I know a couple of Blitzen Trapper songs (below), but they're probably 10 years old now. They released an album in 2020, but then couldn't tour, so tonite they played a lot of these new songs in front of people for the first time...OK, but most of it lacked a really good hook. As a whole, the members are talented, but there was some underachiever element to the mir presence.
Still, it was nice to get out and see live music.
