Ok...so Farcebook pushed an AARP ad on me for a free live-viewing of this documentary about The Ventures. I don't click on ads ever, but I did and got registered (via my junk mail address) so I could watch it.
It wasn't a well made documentary. I think the editing was a little rough. Also, they often resorted to animations with narration over the top which seemed unnecessary and not particularly good.
It was interesting to hear all the ground they broke, and the reach of their influence, but with the amateur-ness of the doc that message was a little bit lost.
Not recommended, unless you get a free screening, aren't doing anything else, and like surf music or guitars.
