Sandra Oh is the new chair of a fading English department at a stodgy university. It's very woke - or it tries to be. We got about two or three episodes in, largely due to the pleasant academic settings and Oh's performance, but we're likely gonna bail. It's just not that engaging and the likelihood of a sword fight is low.
Maybe KB will get into it because he works at my alma mater...

My interest in Sandra Oh has always been negligible at best. I tolerated her on Grey's Anatomy. I was luke warm to her on Killing Eve. But since she stars in The Chair, I figured I was going to give it a pass.
As a matter of fact, my anger does keep me warm

Oh is one of the few Asian female leads that have evaded the China Doll stereotype. I really liked her in Sideways.
Didn't watch Anatomy or Killing. She did good voicework in She-Ra but I didn't recognize her at first.

I thought this was good. And some of it is really funny. I'm not sure they can go on. I think it would be best if they left it where it ended.

Well brother, you're still in the academic world. Maybe that humor doesn't translate to the real world so well.
