Wisting

Season 1 is 10 45 min eps. We got hooked and binged the first half. The best Nord noir police procedure, starring lots of Nordic actors we didn’t know plus Carrie Anne Moss as a U.S. FBI agent chasing down a serial killer that ended up in Norway. Lots of snow. So much snow. The first Ep was a slow melt but it kept coming. Intriguing characters, a few nice red herrings, and a decent pace that made us have to catch each other up if one orb us stepped away for a few minutes corn another snack or something. Stacy almost solved it with a wild guess in ep1, but it was a red herring. I predicted the coup de grace because it was just karma.

The midway point marked the end of a story arc. We’ll probably watch more.

E6-8: it’s lost a lot of momentum with the departure of Carrie. The new arc isn’t quite as engaging, but it turns out Wisting has an amazing getaway cabin right on the edge of a lake that’s just gorgeous. Every shot that it’s in we’re like ‘just live there’. We’ll likely finish it. It’s still okay just not as good as when it started.

10 & done. Satisfying in the end. I called the final twist. As declared, it was the best Nord noir I’ve seen.

Not DOOM recommended unless Nord noir is your thing. Not that it’s mine but this was engaging.
