Stop Making Sense (1984)
#1
I intended to put this on as background so I could write some more but I totally fell into it. I don’t think I’ve watched it all the way through since I saw it in the theaters. Such a great concert film.

I never saw the Talking Heads live. They remain one of my favorite bands.

I saw Tom Tom Club - opening for the Dead on NYE no less. They were awesome.

I met Byrne at a signing in SF. That may have been with ED. He was signing a book that I didn’t buy and the book alone. They announced that while I was already deep in line and I didn’t have the cash for the book. I had brought my CD of Remain in Light and when I when I got to the table and explained myself, David initialed it. I still have it. It’s still one of my fav albums.

Did anyone else have a major crush on Tina Weymouth?

Watch Utopia on HBO if/when you get a chance. I think you’ll like it.

I saw some other trashy flick in the Sunnyvale mall.  Beforehand, it had a trailer for Stop Making Sense that consisted simply of the whole "Burning Down the House" performance.  It blew me away, and I came back to see that movie later and wasn't disappointed.

Fair.

Don't have HBO or I’d be watching the Snyder cut.

I saw Stop Making Sense at a small theater in Cambridge, MA. It was awesome and remains my favorite concert film. I've seen bits of Utopia. I just wanted Byrne to play my favorite TH songs.
As a matter of fact, my anger does keep me warm

I want to say that I saw SMS at the Camera One, or maybe the New Varsity, but I don't really remember.

I never saw Byrne live unless you count a talk that he gave.
