I just saw reviews for it on Amazon. There was a lot of concern about it's accuracy. Many people reported it being 20% too high.
I just bought myself a different brand. The one that was recommended the most was the mechanical one where you have to buy a stethoscope as well.

Can you manipulate the cuff and the stethescope by yourself? That seems tricky.

I was thinking that was going to be a problem so I opted for an electronic one that does it all for you. It had pretty good reviews. I let you know how it works out.

I saw advice in the news about skipping unnecessary medical visits. A main target is dental cleaning.
Then I saw the huge outcry from dental offices, saying they were being unfairly targeted.
So this past Thursday I get a call from the dentist office; I've got a cleaning scheduled in a few weeks, but there's been a cancellation at Friday noon (yesterday). Would I like to take it?
Yeah, why not. Feel like I gotta support the economy at least marginally. Besides, they seem conscientiously cautious.
All went well, and my hygienist even pushed out my next cleaning to 8 months rather than six, since I'm doing such a good job.
It helps to be using a water pick these days.
Oh, she showed me the x-ray of my jaw infection from last fall that required a redoing of a root canal. Holy shit. It was major. And it may have been lingering and growing for three years from the time of the original root canal.
I keep wondering if it contributed to my balance problems that persist to this day that started last fall.
Stay healthy all. I hear there might be something going around.

Good luck
Somehow my dentist found me on WhatsApp. I only got that app to communicate with Hairul Azreen in Malaysia. He’s from the wulin so he knows my situation. I want to get our cobra settled before I deal with any dental but I am long overdue. The tooth he filled a few years ago has cracked which doesn’t hurt but I get stuff caught in it all the time.
And I can get my own bp with an old skool sphygmomanometer thank you. I learned how in EMT school like 30 years ago. But now, with all the auto bp meters, it’s like knowing how to use a slide rule.

I DM'ed with Scapino over on Facebook. Poor bastard has had shingles since Labor Day. They have him on anti-convulsive medications which is making him a bit loopy. To top it off, he has his colonoscopy next week.

Old Guy Whinging: 2 years ago, my left calf decided to lock up, kindova perpetual muscle cramp. After doing the usual Stupid Man schtick or ignoring it, stretching constantly, and taking Ibuprofen even though I’m not supposed to for almost a year, I finally went to my doc, got a PT and a walking boot, and was right as rain in two weeks.
Yesterday, out for a walk with Miss H, bang! Calf lock up. Worse this time. Bad enough to wake me up and keep me awake. Worse enough that I was worried it was a blood clot. Video appointment with doc in minutes.

Sorry to hear.
I'm amazed that they make PT walking boots in Yeti size.
Hope you're on the mend soon. Sounds unbearable.

Have you tried rubbing dirt on it and walking it off?
I hope you get it looked at soon. I hear the hospitals and emergency rooms are sparsely populated so you shouldn't have any problem with an appointment.
Are you giving lessons at the moment to stabbing enthusiasts?

I thought the Yeti was bionic, but I was mistaken...that was the Sasquatch.

The Code Purple on the Pantone Panic Scale has put stabbery on hold for a little bit. We can still do one-on-one training indoors, but all bouting, etc, must be outdoors. Greg M already had 3 roll out neoprene pistes for just such an emergency.
It turns out I have yet another blood clot. Even though I’m taking blood thinners

Harsh.
Again sorry to hear.
Do the blood thinners make you bruise easily? That was the case with my dad.
I bruise easily now because of my combo of diabetic and cholesterol meds. You can just look at me funny and I'll bruise.
So what will they do for said blood clot?

I do bruise more easily, but since I didn’t really bruise easily before, it is kinda random. I take shots from the foil guyz/galz that make me stop and take a breath, but no bruise. Insignificant off target in the leg: Sunset bruise!
The thinners are supposed to keep them from forming and allow the ones that are there to be eroded away. Not quite working like that at the moment
