The moon is full on this night - a brilliant Flower moon. My neighbors have some sort of pounding bass going. I think it's right next door, which is occupied by the Comcast surfer. He's always parking his work van here or walking about in his wetsuit. We've chatted passingly but never really talked. All I can hear is the bass and yet I can't even make out what kind of music it is. I'm not even going to try to sleep with it on.

It was odd - sweet because it's local and not the Blue Angels or something. Some neighbors who were on a walk were looking skyward. I didn't get my phone quick enough to grab a pic or vid.

They just came back and did a huge heart right over our bungalow. We're close to Domincan and PAMF but it was more over us than them. I caught but it was too big for my little iphone.  I'll post it on my gram tomorrow for Mom's Day.

Saw them fly over the neighborhood while we were out on a walk. We’re 10min from Salinas, so they must have just started or we’re just finishing.

Then we got a news alert about the fatal shark attack at Sand Dollar beach (just south of Manresa) this afternoon.

His name was Ben Kelly. Waiting to see if any of my surfer friends knew him. Manresa is a nice stretch of beach, not that occupied and you can walk it almost to Moss Landing past some amazing beach front property. Never that busy except at the northern entrance end.

Are your 'hoods doing the 8 o'clock howl? It's a big thing here in the Cruz. I love it. Nothing like screamig at the top of your lung with your neighbors. This and being able to wear a mask all the time are the two positive outcomes of covidhell.
