A friend, Oliver, in Tai Chi class missed two Sundays ago.  He later described it as a cold or something, and that he couldn't believe how mucus came out of his head for the duration.
So this might be something going around, slowly, snail-like...

No allergy meds for you?

Allergy meds make me psycho. I mean like more psycho than usual. Either that, or they knock me out cold.  I had this terrible episode when I was ready to kill someone in front of me in an express lane with one more item than maximum when jacked up on sudafed.  Like fingering my daily carry and targeting the kidney ready-to-kill.  After that, I stopped taking those.

I've gone through all the OTCs, and a large battery of the scripts trying to find a solution, as well as complementary med like TCM, ayurveda, homeopathic, you name it.  Qigong has been the best since I moved to the Cruz but even that isn't a sure thing.

Yeah, I think that's what this has become.  Last night it moved to my lungs - coughing fits, almost to the point of vomiting, chills, body aches.  Either my original self-diagnosis was deceived by the nature of this illness, or an allergy attack weakened my immune system and now I'm sick.  

It's still weird.  I'm still sniffly but not as bad.  I can breathe through my sinuses.  My head is a bit ringy and I'm a little achy.  My eyes are scratchy.  Most of all, now my lungs are wheezy and I have these coughing fits.  There are still moments of clarity however.

This totally messes me up because this weekend was planned to be xmas shopping & prep.  I really need to be at work tomorrow to put things in place for my short holiday break.  I need to take care of my mom on Tues and pick up my kid from the airport on Wed.  Then we have a day in SF planned for Thurs with tix to the Nutcracker and a hotel.  I really need to get healthy by tomorrow.  I feel it's in reach.  Today is another day of rest, healing foods and vids.

Well, I'm feeling a bit better.  Still congested in nose and left lung.  Death will come to me from the left. A bit achy.  Still coughing and sneezing - I sound terrible but feel functional, relatively clear over all.  Hopefully a good night's sleep will help.  Planning on work tomorrow, assuming there's no great relapse.  What a strange ride of suffering this week has been.

i still have a lot of mucus to clear from my left lung and left sinus.  where does all this mucus come from?  i know, i know, dead cells, fallen soldiers in the war on health.  this one left so many casualties.

meh...i'm taking a sick day today.  i felt better during the day yesterday but relapsed enough last night that I figured it'd be best to bail on today.  I hope to be well enough tomorrow.  I have to be.  Stacy thinks she might have the edge of it now too, but not so much that she's taking off work today.  She has a light shift and the car so it shouldn't be too stressful.  Hopefully she can nip it in the bud.

My left lung is still gurgly.  My left sinus has moments of clarity, but still plugs up now and again.  I've been pretty much horizontal watching old Star Trek eps.  So much of TNG I've forgotten or never saw.  Still have these coughing fits that are vicious and I wheeze with deep exhalations.  I could really use some snake bile to clear my lungs but I won't be able to access that tomorrow...maybe Wednesday.

Stacy has a cold.  I feel so bad about this.  We've been planning Tara's return for her winter break for weeks, prepping the bungalow and such, and now, we're both down with this weird bug.  Hopefully Stacy can recover super fast.  She has tomorrow off but was planning several chores.  She's disappointed that she probably won't complete them, but I lost the whole weekend.  I slacked off last weekend thinking I'd have this one, but that plan failed.

I will go back to work tomorrow.  I think I'm well enough and not contagious anymore, which is a major concern because I'll be at my mom's tomorrow night and picking up Tara and her friend on Wednesday.  Thursday we have tix & hotel in SF.

today was draining.  i did fairly well until about 2ish, and then i gassed out.  still really gurgly in my left lung.  sinuses are pretty clear tho.  head is ringing, but my head is always ringing.  it's just a different ring now, a more annoying ring that i've yet to attenuate to...

I had that last week. A lot of night coughing and I lost my voice. But after about a week it cleared up quickly

I hear it's going around.  I'm still dealing with coughing fits.  I'm treating myself to some demulcent otc syrup.  It has tussin, which sometimes triggers my gag reflex and makes me vomit spontaneously.  Man, life was better when I could do all the drugs.  

Stacy says she's nearly there.  She got on it early and nipped it.  I was lax because the allergy attack concealed the true nature of my malady.  

I still hold some suspicions about the xenomorph...
