Plugged by Eoin Colfer
#1
Eoin Colfer is probably best know for his Artemis Fowler books, but Ken Bruen convinced him to write a novel for adults and this is the result.

Former Irish Army Sergeant Daniel McEvoy is working as a bouncer in Cloisters New Jersey. He suffers from flashbacks about his time in Lebanon as a UN peacekeeper and worries about his new hair plugs. When his friend and Hair Doctor goes missing, Zeb goes missing, McEvoy has to find him and defend himself from the local Irish mob boss.

There are a lot of amusing characters in this film mixed with some tense gun battles and fights. The plot is pretty twisty, maybe a touch too twisty. The book comes to an end about three quarters of the way through the book, but it's a false ending. The problem is the story has lost its momentum and doesn't really come back.

The dialogue is good. The characterizations are good. I can wait for the sequel.
So much for the flickr badge idea. Dammit
